About Me
Hi, I’m Mike Shihadeh, a licensed therapist who helps individuals and couples tackle life’s challenges with curiosity, respect, and support. I’m inspired by the discovery process—exploring thoughts, emotions, and the world around us.
As an Arab American, I’ve grown up between two cultural worlds: collectivism and individualism. This perspective allows me to offer a flexible approach to therapy. Whether I’m working with teens through play-based methods like Critical Core or using Gottman Therapy to help couples reconnect, I focus on creating a safe space where real growth can happen.
In my personal life, I’m drawn to Viktor Frankl’s logotherapy and Carl Rogers’s humanistic approach. These philosophies guide my belief that even difficult emotions have a purpose. Together, we’ll uncover the root of these feelings, recognize patterns, and create new ways to build resilience. I approach therapy with a passion for understanding how our minds and behaviors interact, believing that we can shape our reactions and find calm through intentional practices.
My goal is to help you become independent, equipping you with the tools and confidence to face challenges on your own while still being there to support you when needed.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy hiking, reading about the mind, and playing games like Dungeons & Dragons.
If you’re ready to start, I’d be honored to join you on your journey.
